Saint George's

Abandoned and overgrown orthodox church in Saskatchewan.

This small, long-forgotten church is officially known as St. George’s Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Locally, it has also been referred to as the Chorney Church, named after Nickoli Chorney, on whose land it was built. Sadly, the building has fallen into disrepair and is now home to pigeons and other wildlife. The church and the cemetery on site are all overgrown and nearly impossible to see in the summer months.

We push through the trees to explore this old church - check it out!
