The church started as a hall built in 1925, and was renovated into a church in 1949. Unfortunately, it no longer holds services. From our research, the religious items inside have been moved to nearby churches or put in storage.
In 1919, a group of Norquay and area residents formed an Education Society under the name of Education Society of Taras Shewchenko of Norquay, Saskatchewan. They acquired books and started a library. In 1925, a plot of land was purchased where a hall was built. The hall was incorporated as the Ukrainian Educational Society of Norquay, Saskatchewan. This social centre hosted events, meetings, plays, dances, lectures, a library of historical literature, and church services. From 1941 to 1949, the building held occasional church services until it was renovated and turned into a church for regular services. In 1949, the name was changed to the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of St Peter and Paul at Norquay.
