The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Meath Park, Saskatchewan, is the second church built by its Ukrainian Catholic parish. The first church, constructed in 1917 from hand-hewn logs, was completed over two years with its interior plastered by 1919. Though no longer used for regular services, parishioners maintain the original building as a historic site to honor the pioneer spirit of the early settlers. The adjacent parish cemetery remains in use, preserving a strong connection to the community’s roots.
