As with most military bases, they needed to have a school. The St. Marie military (Former Glasgow Air Force base) was so large that it had two schools! As you have seen, most of the base is abandoned and it feels like a ghost town. The schools are also abandoned and in a very decayed state.
The first school was quite large and very decayed. The ceilings were collapsing into the school and there were entire sections that were impassable due to decayed debris. This school was larger than the other, home to many classrooms, a gym with a large stage and offices.
The other school was designed with multiple hexagonal sections connected by a hallway. The gym was in one of these hexagonal areas and it was very neat. Based on our exploration the building was clearly used by the community for art classes, business and activities. It may also have been a bit of a visitor center. Of the two school this one was in much better shape as the roofs were only starting to leak.
