Exploring the Remaining Pavilion Buildings at Ninette Sanatorium – Manitoba’s TB Legacy

A Look Inside the Last Standing Pavilions of Manitoba’s Historic Tuberculosis Sanatorium

The Ninette Sanatorium complex was originally dozens of buildings but over the years they demolished many of the buildings. Most of the buildings demolished would have been pavilions for patients which would have included the solariums. It's likely there was also a hospital building which would have included the morgue. The facility was connected by utility tunnels that would have lead from the power plant to other buildings feeding them heat and utilities.

Today the administration building remains are the front of the site (view our exploration HERE) as well as 3 other buildings and the power plant. We go through the whole history on our post about the administration building
