Mount Joy Schoolhouse is a stone school in rural Saskatchewan. Built in 1912 by a local stone mason, it operated as a school until 1959. Most of the school was built using fieldstones, while the small porch at the front, which was clearly added on later, was built with concrete blocks. This schoolhouse is unique as it doesn't follow the standard prairie schoolhouse plan. The small porch entrance leads you into a staircase, which takes you upstairs to the one-room school area, featuring chalkboards, large windows, and wood details.
