Saskatchewan’s backroads are filled with traces of the province’s rural past. At one time, hundreds of one-room schoolhouses dotted the prairie, serving small farming communities. Over the years, many have disappeared - demolished, moved to new locations, converted into grain bins, or even restored as homes. At some former sites, a simple sign marks where a school once stood, while others have vanished without a trace. Along one quiet country road, however, the history remains visible at the site of the Midway School.
