Deveron, Saskatchewan is part of the "Peanut Line", a small line that runs from Reston, Manitoba to Wolseley, Saskatchewan. The line was developed in 1906 and was closed in 1961 and pulled up. It was about one hundred twenty-two miles long. The stops from Wolseley were Adair Siding, Deveron Siding, Baring, Peebles, Windhorst, Neelby, Bender, Kennedy, Dumas, Wawota, Walpole, Fairlight, Maryfield, Ebro, Ewart, and Reston. While the peanut line is gone and most of the stops are non-existent some places still stand. Deveron was nothing more than a siding with one elevator and a post office.
We fly the drone over this old elevator at Deveron - check it out!
