Coleman Collieries was a National Historic Site that included a huge coal crushing plant and rail car loading terminal in Crowsnest Pass, Alberta. These huge buildings could be seen from the highway. They are large green/blue buildings with connecting conveyor tubes. Coal mining started in the area between 1903-1913 and was the backbone of the town of Coleman for decades. This site has grown and changed over the years but ceased operation in 1980. It has sat abandoned ever since.
Despite having National Historic status the site was demolished to make way for a condo project.
