3 Wall Stone Mansion Ruins

Huge abandoned stone house ruins in Saskatchewan.

Ruins of old homes can still be fascinating, especially if they are made of stone! Every fieldstone building is unique but unfortunately without constant maintenance and upkeep the stones will start to fall apart. We are not sure what happened to this house but we can only guess that it had been abandoned for many years and when it started to collapse. Based on what's left it's clear that parts of this building were removed or salvaged.

When we visited, there were three walls still standing. The roof was gone, the second floor was gone and the main floor only had support beams remaining. The basement was full of debris and trees were growing through. Peeking through the front door you can see where the second floor was and the chimneys were still in place! If you look at the top you can still see the stones that would have filled the gaps between the walls and the roofline.

This house was located south of Sintaluta, Saskatchewan. Since our visit it has collapsed or was demolished.
